Choriocarcinoma

Choriocarcinoma

Choriocarcinoma is a cancer that develops most commonly from abnormal placenta. It has a rather amorphous, shaggy appearance. Choriocarcinoma is nearly 100% curable if appropriate chemotherapy is administered after the tumor mass is evacuated from inside the uterus. Hysterectomy is part of the treatment regimen in women who desire no further children.
