Ovarian Cancer
			This is a very large ovarian tumor in the process of being surgically removed.  Most large ovarian masses like this turn out to be benign cystadenomas.   Within this particular tumor was a 5mm area of a low grade adenocarcinoma. Since there was no evidence of extr-ovarian metastases identified through surgical staging this patient is classified as Stage1A and Grade 1. This is the only situation where adjuvant chemotherapy is not required in the treatment of an epithelial ovarian cancer.
